Ramsgate is by the sea and although it is an English town, this is the one in Australia and is nestled in Botany bay. Here it’s a suburb in the St George area and is renowned for its palm trees and swimming baths. It’s just near Brighton le Sands too. The original settlers added ‘le Sands’ to distinguish it from that other English town by the sea – Brighton.
Naturally there is a Ramsgate Beach to entertain the sun-seekers.
